Val Bruder Sworn In as a Member of the NC State Bar
On September 27, 2024, Parry Law’s Val Bruder was sworn in as a member of the North Carolina State Bar in a ceremony at the historic Orange County Courthouse. The presiding ceremonial judge was Judge Robert C. Ervin. Cameron Ervin of Brooks Pierce introduced Val, and he was presented by Sam J. Ervin IV, who served as an Associate Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court from 2015-2022.
An Asheville native, Val graduated from Davidson College in 2020, and from Georgetown Law in 2024.
Prior to joining Parry Law, PLLC, Val worked as a Law Clerk for both the Federal Public Defender’s office of the Western District of North Carolina, and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, as well as for two prominent criminal defense firms in Asheville and Raleigh, NC. While in law school, he also worked as a student attorney at the Georgetown Law Criminal Justice Clinic.
