Alan Parry Elected to Leadership Role in NC Bar Association

Alan Parry was nominated and elected to join the Dispute Resolution Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association. His term on the Council extends through June 30, 2027. Alan will also be serving as the Communications Chair for the Dispute Resolution Section for the coming Bar year.

The Dispute Resolution Section addresses issues that are relevant to both mediation and arbitration, and acts as a resource for practicing mediators, arbitrators and attorneys who utilize alternative dispute resolution. The Section also works with the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission, which is responsible for certifying and regulating mediators in North Carolina State Court programs.

Alan is certified by the Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct Superior Court mediations, as well as mediations of estate and guardianship cases. Alan has also served as an arbitrator in a variety of civil disputes. As a mediator and arbitrator, he offers a balanced perspective based on his years of experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Alan is actively involved in the Bar and is a past Chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Litigation Section.
