Andrew Kasper Joins Parry Law
Parry Law, PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Kasper to the firm, effective Oct. 18.
Prior to joining Parry Law, Kasper served as a senior legal advisor to the Office of Governor Roy Cooper and General Counsel to the North Carolina Departments of Public Safety and Revenue. While with the State, Kasper’s responsibilities included serving as a member of the Governor’s core legal team responsible for developing, implementing, and defending executive branch policy related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kasper worked as an adjunct professor at the Duke University School of Law during his tenure with the State.
Before joining state government, Kasper was the senior clerk to Judge James A. Wynn Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He was the judge’s principal clerk on several landmark voting rights cases, as well as numerous other matters that proceeded to Supreme Court review. Kasper also spent three years at a leading regional law firm, focusing on antitrust, constitutional, and commercial disputes.
Kasper graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law after obtaining a master’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Before law school, he worked as a reporter in Washington, D.C., covering the pharmaceutical industry.
At Parry Law, Kasper will continue his complex commercial litigation practice, representing businesses, government entities, nonprofit organizations, and individual clients in state and federal courts across North Carolina, as well as arbitration and administrative proceedings. Kasper will also continue handling politically sensitive disputes involving constitutional issues, as well as advising clients involved in governmental and internal investigations.
“We are delighted to welcome Andrew to our team,” said Alan Parry, the firm’s Managing Attorney. “Andrew has the skills and experience to handle any case, no matter how complex, and he will be a great resource for our clients.”
